Best performing employees are those that believe in what you believe. Whether you are their manager, owner, or CEO.

If your employees believe in what you believe, they will shed their blood to join you in achieving your/company goals. Time and again it has been proven that most successful people in the world are not necessarily the ones that are most qualified for doing what they are doing, but the ones, who believe in doing what they believe in.

So when you are hiring employees, look for this trait. Explain to them what you believe and why the job role is required to achieve that belief. Judge if the prospective employee truly believes in your belief. If yes, then it won’t matter if they have the experience, qualification or not. Bet on these candidates. They will be most likely your best hires.

Apple is considered the most innovative company in the world because they truly believe in their belief that “everything they do will be to challenge the status quo and think differently; by making most beautifully designed and simple to use products”. So people who believe in this belief are the ones who are willing to stand in a queue overnight just to buy their new product models, even if they could buy the same product a week down the line, without having to stand in the queue.

Be clear about what you believe you are doing and the right talent will be attracted to join you. The right talent is what you want not the best talent!
