Women and Stress

Whether you are in hiring or in sales, or any other functional role…there is millions of blogs, articles, self-improvement eBooks, 5 top tips, etc on the internet…all written by thought leaders…subject matter experts…supposedly.

But you are an avid reader of such content…you would have realized by now, that for every ‘do this’ advice, there is equal and opposite ‘don’t do this advice’

Just within Recruitment, came across so many contradictory suggestions that my head starts spinning which one to go after?

  • Some say – Engage candidates by a powerful opening message, some say don’t waste your time, first ask whether the candidate is looking for a change or not.
  • Some say – Provide detailed job overview of your opportunity, some say just give a teaser and let the candidate ask questions and then you reveal piece by piece.
  • Some say – Ask open-ended questions, so you get to know the way the candidate thinks, some say don’t put the candidate in a spot by asking open-ended questions, its best to ask closed-ended questions to make the candidate comfortable
  • Some say – Trust the candidate and take them at face value, some say look for fakeness and constantly judge what they are saying.
  • Some say – Look for potential, some say look for experience

Some say this, some say that!

What are we mere immortals to do? It’s almost like when you stop to get directions to a particular place, one person says go straight, take left and then straight, while other says…..No, No, No….take right, go straight and then take right….

I am totally becoming mad…..

Thank God (I am not sure even He is giving any clear answers for many), we have Callify.ai, Now at least the Recruiters can decide on their own and record the opening message, job overview and questions…what they think is correct and move on…

So dear Stress, I am done with you; I am dumping you! Move on; get a Callify demo!
