4. Appropriate Content

While developing a job description, your language must not raise doubts or confusions at all. Every single word must be crisp and well laid out, driving each point home.  The language should be simple, professional and clear.

5. Review  and Approval

After you finish developing the job description, review it thoroughly to ensure you have not missed any vital point. It is also recommended to run this job description through your supervisor (especially, if this is your first job description) or the department / manager who has placed the candidate requirement. Inclusion of salary in a job description – yes or no?This is entirely the organization’s discretion. However, it would be a good idea to include the tentative salary package or at least a range so that you get only those candidates who find the pay scale appropriate.

A good job description will help you in attracting the right kind of potential employees and thereafter simplify the selection procedure.  To make your description even more effective, look at it from the applicant’s point of view.
